The times they are a-changin'

Come gather 'round people: this is a Pilates Service Announcement

This Sunday morning at 1am, UK time springs forward one hour. I know that Pilates people will already have been tucked up in bed for several hours by then, so consider this a Pilates Service Announcement reminding those of you in the UK to adjust your clocks tonight. In fact, why not move your clocks forward now? That way you'll have time to adjust, go to bed early and wake refreshed for your favourite way to start the week: Sunday morning online Pilates. Though bear in mind this means you'll be doing everything one hour earlier for the rest of today, but that's a good thing, right? Unless you try to watch The Gold on BBC1 tonight only to find it isn't on for an hour and you have to endure Call the Midwife, so it may be safer to stick to iPlayer. I know that losing an hour of sleep can feel a bit like a punishment but try to reframe things by thinking of it as the small sacrifice of a little bit of rest now, in return for months of longer, lighter evenings ahead. In a way, it's an investment with guaranteed returns and without the risk of the bank collapsing after putting all of your money into subprime mortgages or long-term bonds. Which, funnily enough, reminds me of the way in which investing an hour (or so) in Pilates can bring the rich rewards of better posture, improved strength and greater flexibility in future. I try to make the classes fun, as well as beneficial, and hopefully you'll feel that it's time well spent. So change those clocks, set your alarm and join me at one of the following online classes:

  • Sunday 09:30-10:45

  • Monday 15:00-16:00

  • Thursday 08:45-10:00

  • Thursday 17:00-18:00

For more details and to book a class, go to the online classes page of my website.

All the above classes can be recorded, so you can do them at a time that suits you. Just book as usual and let me know at least an hour before that you would like a recording. After the class you will receive a link to the recording, which you can watch for up to seven days.
