Don't go anywhere!

This is a bank holiday weekend in the UK (that's our version of a public holiday, overseas readers). These always present certain "challenges". Or, as the BBC put it this week: "Millions of people have been warned of disruption over the bank holiday weekend, as heavy traffic, rail works and strikes threaten to throw travel plans into disarray."
So if you were hoping to avoid the horrendous traffic to popular destinations by taking the train, some rail services are suspended due to strike action and others are cancelled altogether due to engineering works. Anyone unwise enough to try letting the train take the strain should prepare to hear the most dreaded phrase in all of the English language: rail replacement service.
It's also Notting Hill Carnival and Reading Festival, so you'll obviously want to give both of those places a very wide berth. The list of bank holiday disruptions goes on and on, but I don't want to depress you by doing the same.
Suffice to say, I'll be staying close to home. If you'll be doing the same, perhaps you'd like to join me for a spacious, calm Pilates class from home? I'll be teaching my usual online class on Monday and it would be great to see you then - or at any of my other classes this week. For more details and to book, go to the online classes page of my website by clicking here.
