What is a Pilates matwork class?
Matwork classes use minimal equipment (typically just a mat, or sometimes a few small portable items). They can be one-to-one, for small groups, or for large groups, depending on the location and the requirements of the participants. Some studios run simultaneous in-person and online matwork classes, so you can attend in the way that suits you best.
In a matwork class, participants follow the instructions and demonstrations of the teacher. Classes are typically either 60 or 75 minutes in length and consist of a variety of exercises selected from the Pilates repertoire. In addition to studio-based classes, I can teach matwork classes at your home - for example when there is a specialised requirement such as rehabilitation after surgery or injury. Please get in touch via the Contact page if you would like more information or wish to book a private matwork class. |

How can I attend a matwork class?
All classes must be pre-booked. You can use the links above to find details of location, prices and to book a place. Prices are set by the individual venues. Often, discounts are available if purchasing multiple classes - see the venue website for details. For studio classes it is best to arrive at least 15 minutes before the class, allowing enough time to get changed, find a place, etc.
